Founded in 1924, Nerinx Hall is an all-girls Catholic high school in Webster Groves whose Markers soccer program has long been one of the most competitive in the St. Louis area. The program won its first state championship in 1988 and spent much of the following decade and beyond as a consistent postseason contender. In recent years the Markers have elevated to another level entirely, reaching the state final in five consecutive seasons before capturing their second state title in 2024. The program has also produced notable talent at the national level, including Lori Chalupny, a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Olympic soccer team in 2008. Nerinx Hall competes in the Girls Independent Schools League (GISL) alongside rivals St. Joseph's Academy, Cor Jesu, Incarnate Word, and Visitation. The Markers play their home matches on the school's campus in Webster Groves.
